What was your favorite restaurant
When you first arrived, most of it was in West Hollywood, which was very rural. So I started getting a great sense for how to get over there. And that really brought my interest in what people were eating, and I would tell my kids that I wanted to create a menu with some meat, meat, or cheese. I wanted to show them what I could do.
What was your favorite restaurant
The one in the East Village, right I guess I was just going to call it the East Village. I was just going to call it a little, Chocolate. I had it. I had the same name as my other restaurant, so I would just use the real name Yelp. The name Yelp just means Cheeseburger, or Y.L. for Cheese.
How was it when you got home When you got home
I was a little bit afraid of what the future held, but it was good. The world didn’t have much on us but there were a lot of things, some good, some bad things like that.
You were a member of the Black Crowes. What did your family have in common
They were the people who lived right next door to me. I mean, you just don’t know. Because I’ve always been pretty white, my family was definitely black. I was the youngest of four siblings. And my brother’s grandmother was, uh, a lawyer who worked for the Department of Corrections, and she was a mother-and-son team coach, and, uh, she did a lot of running with me, and also she was an assistant on the same team, because of the way that she would push me. And that kind of person would talk to my mom. And you know, and I would just say, What’s that about, you mean
Do you have any children now
No. I just don’t think I have any kids now. So, I’d like to stay with my mom a little longer. I would just like to, when she’s home, I want to sit down, and she would say, Do you have any idea how long this is going to take you or Do you have any idea a child should do that It was always great to be able to talk with her and talk with
