The word flappers came from flatterings, or freaks, who were so good looking and who didn’t fit into the stereotypical mold of a punk. So, for my part, I was pretty surprised that I would find myself playing these guys. I was just hoping as guys like this one would make it through some of the stuff. But it didn’t really end up being this good looking, dude.

Did you get into music before Are you still an artist now

There’s been a lot of bands out there, but I haven’t found anybody really to draw my attention to. I think in general, artists are really into pop and rockI’ve been hearing that stuff for a little while, but it’s so easy to put yourself into the genre of pop and rock, and not really get an exposure or go into other genres, which is really frustrating. I think I found myself not getting an exposure to anything that I liked.

Why is it that you keep playing buddy to the sound of rock You keep working up the volume for this genre. How do you feel about that That’s part of it.

I love the genre on the one hand we have a lot of different things happening out there, and music sounds just as good when you have the best musicians around to support it. We’re all just starting to create new records, starting from scratch, and then it’s all just so exciting when you play something together that you enjoy. I’m super excited to be there and support it, and when it is time to make a record, and if I get the chance for the opportunity, I’d love to help make it happen.

For a lot of people, these days, rock sounds really weird, like ’70s punk, right

I find it really confusing for some of the dudes. It’s just like saying I’ve never seen a rock music song. It’s like, Oh, this is a band for the average punk band

Do you have a musical identity

Well, maybe I can make it into something a little different if I don’t have any of other rocking musicians around who want to be here. No, I don’t even need to have a song like ‘Boys Love Boys’ or ‘Girls Love Boys. We’re all going to need our own thing, but there’s really nothing wrong with having that We all can
