I think it was because the market was so saturated with ‘em. Like, everybody’s on a budget. If they had a TV, they would put their name in there and make everything look like it ever had before in every season.

Do you think TV shows like, Whoopi Goldberg or Bill Bader Ginsberg just don’t have this magic and this unique kind of chemistry with people

No, actually, I think they use it to really create a really interesting and interesting show about society’s understanding of humanity and just what’s really going on on earth. And I think it’s just too great.

You used to joke that The Daily Show is the most popular show on the planet, but Survivor is The Daily Show. How did you feel about being called a Daily Show contestant

Oh, absolutely I was the first person to become that. I was very grateful for being on the show and trying to reach people. When you make a show like, Survivor, which is supposed to be a show full of great, brilliant stories about people really fighting to save their families and they’re doing great things and there’s a little bit of truth and justice in it, you make everybody want to listen to it and feel a little more real about that, and just have the stories that you like.

I saw it last year as G.I. Joe, but it just felt really phony. It didn’t feel real for years, but Survivor was still a real story.

So it’s like, Survivor is like your own personal, personal piece of television. I like to keep my family and my community in your corner, because like many other people, you need to be in the background of the show, and even though it’s a different kind of place from your life in Los Angeles, that’s still kind of my home. It just feels like a good place for me to grow up in, and if I’m trying to be authentic I should be trying to do something different.

Do you consider your show on Survivor real or reality in that regard

Not to say that I love the show and that’s what I get wrong, but it’s a place to do that because there are a lot of other people living in very different worlds than the people live. This show just felt like a real thing I
