This was my first time seeing them. So, that’s my first encounter with this art I’d just read The Great Painter on a white wall. The white canvas was actually quite beautiful, so I’m glad I didn’t take my camera seriously. I thought it was a pretty beautiful painting. It was just a huge, gorgeous collection of things. One of the biggest highlights was all of these tiny little figures that were just so large. We were able to actually go so far to the left of the artist. This little guy looked like he had just finished a painting. We had a really cool little little painting and then all of a sudden a bunch of small figures and little drawings came in from different angles and that was kind of the highlight.

There were also these little animals. Just looking at the canvas, there were so much things coming in.

How many pieces do you get to do one painting, one piece at a time How many commissions do you get into each painting (The first commission is on Decatur’s first cover)

A lot. There were four commissions that took place at the time. I think it was two hundred or fifteen pieces. But I think what you’ll notice is that each artist was so generous of their time. The paintings themselves were always so interesting to look at and then go for a few paintings and then come back for another one. Each one we did was a work that took place in a really long time. It was one of the things that made the show so special. They got to do it so much before we even started, which was interesting. We had to think about each one for a couple of days just to do the whole show.

This was also a big way of telling the story of the show and not just about the work in question. There was a big focus on this painting with the other artwork on that first floor of the building, one guy’s painting was
