The most celebrated ladies’ fashion designers, from Lillian Stokes to Audrey Hepburn, followed the trend. Their dresses, which featured the traditional feminine lines of lace, tulle, and lace, were worn with silk ties or skirts like chinos, oxford slippers, etc. In 1920, Stokes wore the most daring design ever by wearing the first long garter in modern fashion. A variety of fashionable women’s dress styles were inspired by the Ladies Wear pattern in the 1920s and 1930s. It was a series of patterns designed by a great woman named Catherine Leopold. She took care to ensure that the silhouette of the women looked as beautiful as possible (i.e., with minimal changes, especially when changing from a skirt to a dress) although it is very common for designers to have to change their styles in order to appear more feminine or classic, the styles were very popular.
