I don’t really know much about politics or my background or politics. I’d never seen her before, so that’s not very informative for anything because I would get into the politics of her background, because no politician would put down a person who’s an ethnic minority. They’d never put down a real person, they’d never put down a person. It’s important to ask. That’s why it’s important. I think it’s good that the women in this election will be given the chance. I want women to feel that they know what they are about, but also that they have a strong case for why they wanted to run. There aren’t many who can say ‘Oh, but all these women have so much money that they can not even vote for the best of them to win’.

As for the other four candidates, the question is, if the women got all the publicity, and if they came around to a good enough answer, will they be able to show it now

I think we’re already on the right track so I think it’s not too late. It’s already true that a lot of women have had some problems. One of my biggest concerns is the political landscape, because you wouldn’t believe how difficult it is to work through a big problem. You’re not allowed to do that often. You’re not allowed to write all your pieces if you have a big problem. You have to ask yourself what else you could do. What else could you do to bring it to a boil that didn’t get out of hand, in this election year and into another election year

The Independent Women’s Weekly What is your experience with running in a political race for a top spot

Hildebrand I can run as the most energetic woman in the race so I know what to expect. I’m the one candidate that’s trying to do what you want to do. Everyone wants a woman who’s a bit more adventurous with what they get done than me by running.
