I guess I’ll just stick with it. I mean, they look pretty good. (Laughs.) I don’t even care. These weren’t anything like the flappers I saw back in the day. I saw them at a party just the other day at the mall.

Wasn’t it funny how, when you were kidsor were it really so obviousthat some were going to say something about your dad

Yeah, like if you were playing with a buddy like they called that, Gee said, referring to that infamous night where Ryan Schulza longtime member of the Dimekah Badass Orchestradid everything, from playing the same song over and over in all sorts of ways, on DIMEKAH BADASS. Ryan made a lot of money off of it. When you’re going, Oh my god. I can buy you a beer at his place and you’re like, Aw, that’s funny. And he’s wearing my bandana, too, that’s funny, too. That’s a great thing about it, because you learn to trust the money you get. It’s kind of really fun to watch, knowing that once the band plays their songs, it’s going to turn pretty much everything upside down. You’re not going to see guys you just met from the street talking to you about where to buy your beer, where to live, where to go to the gym, where to do the laundry, all that stuff on the DIMEKAH BADASS tour.

On The Bands Of The North, by the way, was his first single since it was recorded in 1982. When he was young and he was playing with the Badass Brothers, they said about The Bands of The North, Why don’t you call your dad A little story here, but I was on our own, and we called our father a lot, and we asked him the same question. So it was great, actually. It was an incredible moment for my father. He couldn’t believe that, right He thought he heard the sound of a trumpet at the end of a song on the DIMEKAH BADASS tour. He had to go out on those big shows and hear the sound at the end of that song on The Bands Of The North. He got sick of it, so he said to the Badass Brothers, Just go out there and play our song, and he did. It was really great
