I have to call myself after the game as I need one thing, just to be in the starting lineup. I don’t need a lot of minutes. I just get out there and help out the guys. I am getting a daily opportunity to be with the guys. I will be the No. 1 guy and help them out.

Can you talk about the current situation for the Bulls in terms of your experience there

I’m a big fan of the team. The fact that they beat the Lakers on the road last year didn’t change that. They were playing very well and the guys that have played well in the last few years have been great. I am grateful to my teammates, but also to Bulls players. The staff is great and there are a few veterans. This year that includes David West. But I think the team is very good for itself because I get to know all of the leaders and they are all awesome. There are guys here because there are no other guys to help them out as well. The staff has a great attitude of not giving them too much time but there is so much chemistry going on on the team. They are always ready to be at their best. The coaches help them and it is always a great challenge. We did our best.

You’ve played in 20 NBA games. How come you have to play your best now for your team as well

That’s probably an understatement. I’ve played in 20 different NBA games. It’s the best team I have ever been at. It’s my second year, I’ve got to be good again and this year I am going to be great again. The other thing is that they are so young and it has to change. Everybody has had a chance and things could go wrong in the next few years. It took me six or seven seasons to get back into the NBA as hard as I did on so many other teams. So now is my time to make it happen. One year is the end of my career and I was just waiting on the right opportunity to go back in the NBA again and win in the NBA again. So all I am trying is come back. We are good. We play well and this is how we come back. Hopefully all of us can be happy.
