I draw my drawing of eye gouge with my own hand and use my favorite color. I’m not very good at Photoshop (since I don’t really know how good I want) so I use my Photoshop skills, which makes it kind of difficult to get what I want from any given image.

So let’s talk about your project for now

My original image was inspired by a vintage poster which I bought a friend recently for 8.50 (5.75 for a 16-track tape). If I could pull a few tricks and make it a more modern and minimalistic poster, that would be a great idea. (If it isn’t me, the original poster was quite a bit cheaper.)

Why didn’t I get this poster from eBay Did it get picked up from a shop or was it just a quick trick of the eye so I could put it up for a sale. I bought a bunch of these before I even started this project. They’re from a brand named ZERO.EXE that I had just bought at a local Wal-Mart and are made from a lot of materials, and they cost 15. All I had going for them was that they were so cheap that I didn’t have to take the time to make out all the details.

The only thing that actually made me jealous was that I didn’t have to do much of an image manipulation part of the project because most people wouldn’t even know anything about Photoshop. It was basically a quick draw in your own style to help get your eyes on that poster.

I also really enjoyed seeing so many of the other artists in this project, including my fellow artist Jason Hargrove (who also did some really great work here and there) and his awesome little friend. It’s super cool to see so many people sharing their art as well

What are you most proud of

I really am glad I got this work done. When it comes to my own paintings, it happens sometimes that the same one I’m inspired by is not just better. But sometimes the original poster was just too much of a jump.
