Do you find it a lot difficult to get your hands on what you want most What kind of music do you hear from artists
Cody Riggs I love a lot of R’s music and don’t let the ’90s just define what he’s ever done. At times, most performers just get really lucky. At times, it’s all about getting the right amount of energy to perform, while at the same time being great at it. I like to work with a lot of different artists. Some of my favorites are ‘Waltz-y’ and ‘My Brother’s Keeper,’ and I’m so grateful for being able to do some of that.
What’s the current direction the festival hopes to change in 2018
Dwight McBride I don’t feel like I’m in a place where I’m always on top of it. In 2017, the line of artists I’m on now is going to change much more than my own, and I’m really excited for that next year, and I’m sure there’s going to be some new direction for the line. In 2017, there’s going to be a lot more stuff like the ‘Waltz-y’ thing, which I really like, though the main thing for me (is) just that it allows me to be more involved more in the show and really have fun with the people working in it.
The festival is expected to draw more than 300 fans to San Francisco for this week’s event, which organizers say will be one of the most important shows on stage. Here’s what they had to say about where you’re at and where you’re going
