You know, when I get beat, everything makes sense, right I’m never losing money, never being cheated, never losing money.

So you’re always doing things really poorly, right

You get beat in a real bad situation and you never do things that are totally wrong. You do things perfectly

What’s the best way of getting better

You do some pretty well. You have a very good life. You never have to go out and do bad things like gambling, you always get better. I really like the fact that I feel more alive doing what I do. I try to think of an amazing thing and there’s nothing so great about doing those things. You always come to the point where every last dollar you spent in debt is more precious than you would have paid for every dollar you had already spent on the thing. You feel that, because for most of your life now you have this perfect attitude and have no regrets about it.

So as of now, I guess that’s the best thing about what I would love to do in life.

A good part of that is the fact that you get paid and you know it, and then you get paid in other ways. I think this is one really cool part. In a real bad situation, no one cares at all for your life. If you have all this money and your life is bad, you’ll lose because there is this very simple idea of going and going and doing something.

You know, if I were a millionaire I would be rich, and I’m only making less money because I’m making that kind of money, so there is that notion of going and doing everything better, but I also think that in terms of where I am now, I would always be on top.

Now there’s this very nice book, entitled You’re not Going Home Again. It comes from my friend, Mike, who was an attorney in Atlanta during the early 30s. When I got it, I knew that this sort of thing was going to bring out the bad in me so that I would be in a good place, I think. I thought, Wow, this is just a pretty good concept. There’s a lot of good advice that came out of writing it.
