The company’s spokesman, James Tippler told Business Insider it doesn’t pay for maintenance or new cars, just for the time being.

Tippler pointed out that while some dealers still don’t have their cars on track, other parts of their operations are fully operational. He said the company plans to upgrade its operations by December.

Last year, the Fisker Automotive Company (FIA) was fined 4.9 billion for violating a 2005 statute that prohibits any company from getting an exemption from being fined more than 500,000. Although the fine wasn’t included in the settlement, the company has since suspended production in Wisconsin of its Cadillac and Bugatti cars.

The latest fines from Fisker include one for violating the 2010 Vehicle Safety Act, which prohibits the auto dealer from collecting an exemption to sales tax. The law was passed in 2009 as part of his anti-polluting agenda.

The company declined to comment for this report.
