I saw this as a post at a local thread where someone got a lot of comments on how it might be better to let women run roughshod over them in order to get on top of them. In a way I could feel the same way about this post…maybe I’m a tad biased because I don’t see a problem with that

I agree with all of the folks in the reddit thread, but I’m not completely convinced that it could be worse if women did not have to deal with a system that did not have sexualized and misogynistic behaviour. That would also mean there are issues of male domination and male subordination being seen as very acceptable behavior that it would need to be addressed before any sexual harassment cases became more serious, andor that any male could start having sexual relations with women due to the rules of their game (e.g. being sexually attractive to women).

That this is a way to change societal attitudes is not a given for any of the reasons listed above, but it’s something that is certainly possible if we have a change like this before it affects everyone. Perhaps in the near future when we get more women making their own legal decisions, perhaps by starting a women’s court system, I can get better results with what happens, and what the community has to say.
